A customizable daiquiri bar has taken over the white brick building in Midtown that was formerly Barrio Taqueria.
Daiquiri District had its soft opening over the weekend at 408 E 31st. St. Despite a few months of delays, owner James Thomas said it went really well, and the feedback has been positive.
“We opened up the bar, took the covering off, so people can actually see what’s happening inside,” he said. “It’s been a crazy time. The community came out, a lot of my friends and family, a lot of people came to check it out and loved everything.”…
