Independence police are investigating a homicide reported Tuesday evening in a neighborhood off East Salisbury Road, and one person is being held for questioning as detectives piece together what happened. Officers were called to North Geronimo Drive near East Fifth Street North around 6:40 p.m., according to a department spokesperson.
