Wyandotte County voters to decide on quarter-cent sales tax for health, homelessness services

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – Wyandotte County voters will be asked this November to approve a quarter-cent sales tax to produce about $12 million each year to pay for community health needs.

Wyandot Behavioral Health Network CEO Randy Callstrom said the county has been the unhealthiest county in the state of Kansas for decades, largely because of the number of people living in poverty.
