KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — Not just any aircraft will do the flyover at M&T Bank Stadium to fire up the AFC Championship game.
A Missouri Air National Guard B-2 Spirit stealth bomber will be used right before the Chiefs and Ravens kickoff on Sunday in Baltimore.
This bomber comes from the Whiteman Air Force Base in Johnson County, Missouri.
Kansas City hairstylist talks about doing Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco’s locs
There’s no guarantee that a Kansas City fan will be operating the B-2 Bomber, but a master sergeant of the 131st Bomb Wing says there will be a lot of Chiefs fans “in our wing who will be prepping, fueling and launching the jet.”
Other pregame festivities include honoring legendary Ravens from the past.
Hall of Fame defenders Ray Lewis and Ed Reed will enter the stadium through the pregame tunnel. Another HOFer Jonathan Ogden will be the honorary captain and two keys to the 2012 Baltimore Super Bowl win, Terrell Suggs and Anquan Boldin, will also be at the game.
