JOHNSON COUNTY, KS / JANUARY 29, 2024/ According to a report from WN.com World News Network on January 29, 2024, Johnson County Family Court Judge Paul Burmaster has been named as a defendant in a protection order case involving allegations of online stalking of a father in Kansas. The case of 24-CV00369 contains a Petition for Protection from Stalking in Johnson County, set to be heard in scheduling conference on Feb 7, 2024 in divison M2. The petition in the 10th district against a judge in the same district appears to have the ability to overcome Burmaster’s judicial immunity, or they never would allowed docketing of it.
There is another fact present here that is notable. That same Father, alongside his two daughters listed as Plaintiffs are in the Kansas federal court case of Escalante vs Droege, Chief Judge Charles Droege. That’s District Judge Paul Burmaster’s superior, his boss. The father representing his two children has brought a civil rights lawsuit against the head of the Johnson County district court alleging that retaliation and violations of the father and children’s rights under the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, has kept the father apart from his daughters for almost two years now. The high court case 2:23-CV02536, is sitting in a stand-still currently, as Droege’s attorney tried to dismiss the case two weeks ago, and the father shows countering the dismissal motion with an action to strike the attorney’s entry of appearance. If that pending motion is successful from the Pro Se father, Matthew Escalante, the case will default against Chief Judge Droege. The lawsuit seeks injunctive relief of all of the Escalante cases to be transferred to Douglas County, KS courthouse. The claims of the father have withstood a long curtain of time and scrutiny. No court has been able to counter the claims of the dad, that Burmaster has fraudulently moved a protection order, ironically, for over 18 months over the father.
