Police initially said the girl was 7 years old, but FOX4 has confirmed with family that she was 8.
Tiler’s family said she was hit broadside after the vehicle she was riding in crossed the median, overcorrecting after hitting the pothole.
The little girl was on life support for several days after the crash. But after multiple tests showing no brain activity, she was declared dead Thursday morning, Tiler’s aunt Rachel McGee told FOX4.
McGee said she will be an organ donor.
The family has set up a GoFundMe for Tiler’s mother .
Tiler’s mother is also hospitalized with a potentially broken pelvis and other health issues. The driver of a F-150 truck also involved in the crash was in critical condition immediately after the crash.
