KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One man is dead after a house fire late Friday night near Swope Parkway in Kansas City, Missouri.
According to the Kansas City Fire Department, just after 11:20 p.m., crews were dispatched to the area of East 57th Street and Bales Avenue on reports of a house fire.
Upon arrival, crews found smoke and fire coming from inside the home.
Police investigating potentially connected deadly shooting, crash in KC
KCFD said the fire was quickly brought under control, however, crews found the body of a man after searching inside.
Bomb and Arson, as well as homicide detectives, were notified. According to KCFD, the Kansas City Police Department will be completing the investigations.
