We’re paying tribute to the men and women who put their lives on the line for our freedom. KMBC 9 is teaming up with the Heartland Honor Flight to send veterans to Washington, D.C. The trip is an experience of a lifetime for many veterans as they got to see memorials built in their honor and pay respect to fallen service members. The trip also help heal old wounds, especially for veterans of the Vietnam War. They finally received a homecoming recognition they deserved.
