Police pursuit follows armed robbery, kidnapping. Two arrests made

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Police Department claims they’ve made multiple arrests following a pursuit that ended on I-29 and Hwy 169 just before 5 p.m. today, October 3.

KCPD claims the pursuit started around 4:25 p.m. at Highway 40 and Blue Ridge Cutoff. A black VW Jetta was being pursued by officers and other law enforcement agencies following reports of an armed robbery and kidnapping.

KCPD says the VW was occupied by two suspects, who are now in custody, refused to stop for officers when it was heading south on I-29. The vehicle came upon stopped traffic, slammed into a Dodge Journey and a Hyundai Santa Fe, which flipped onto it’s drivers side following the collision.

Two suspects were taken into custody according to KCPD, and were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The drivers of the Dodge and Hyundai were also taken to the hospital, also with non-life-threatening injuries.
