Sheriff’s office sends ‘kudos’ to businesses that passed underage alcohol sting

CLAY COUNTY, Mo. (KCTV) – On Monday, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office reported the results of its recent underage alcohol sting in which over half the businesses failed. The sheriff’s office said that out of 12 businesses it checked, seven sold alcohol to someone under the age of 21. The names of those businesses were not released, but they were spread throughout Kansas City, Liberty and Claycomo. The clerks who violated the law were issued citations.
