The ESPN commentator and former football quarterback acknowledged that he may have made a mistake while talking about Taylor Swift during the singer’s appearance at the Monday, Oct. 7 Chiefs game against the New Orleans Saints.

The “Anti-Hero” songstress, 34, was in the crowd to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce during the game, but Aikman, 57, sparked some backlash by referring to Swift as Kelce’s wife.
After the cameras cut to Swift clapping and cheering during Monday’s broadcast following a good play from Kelce, 35, Aikman quipped, “The Mrs. likes it.”
His partner, Joe Buck , then called him out for his choice of words, reminding him, “You know they’re not married, right?”
Aikman, who seems to have already been aware that Swift and Kelce are still just dating, replied, “I’m sure I’m in trouble for saying that.”
