FORECAST: New First Warn as Christmas morning brings fog and slick spots to some

Areas of thick fog are likely to be around Christmas morning. This doesn’t look to be a widespread issue, but it may be rather dense in localized areas. This will reduce visibility and could even slicken up a few roads. If the fog is thick enough, it can produce drizzle. A little icy patch or two could form with temperatures below freezing. The most likely zone for any issues will be northwest of the Kansas City metro, but it is possible within the city as well. Some of us won’t have any issues, but the takeaway is use extra caution if you hit thick fog.
