Collision with I-29 guardrail sends Kansas City driver to nearby hospital

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A collision with a guardrail along a Kansas City interstate sent one driver to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that around 8:50 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6, emergency crews were called to the area of northbound I-29 and 72nd St., near Platte Woods, with reports of a single-vehicle crash.

When first responders arrived, they said they found a 42-year-old Kansas City man had been driving a 2009 Chevrolet pickup truck north on the interstate when, for an unknown reason, he hit the guardrail…
