Woman dead after being hit by vehicle in north Topeka store parking lot

TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – Police are investigating a deadly vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in north Topeka on Monday.

Rosie Nichols with the City of Topeka said in a press release that officers were called around 3:35 p.m. on March 10 to the 2600 block of Northwest Rochester road on reports of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian in the parking lot of a store. Medical personnel declared the woman dead at the scene.

Nichols said police are investigating this incident. The identity of the individual will be released after family of the victim have been contacted by police.
