Man faces additional felonies for burglarizing five businesses in one night, court records say

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A 25-year-old man faced several charges in connection with a string of burglaries in early March.

Jackson County Prosecutor Melesa Johnson announced that her office had 10 more felony charges against Javaune Tucker of Kansas City, Missouri.

He had initially been charged with first-degree property damage, but he also faces the following felonies:

  • felon in possession of a firearm (two counts)
  • unlawful possession of a machine gun
  • first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle
  • second-degree burglary (six counts)

After a stolen Jeep Grand Cherokee was seen in surveillance footage during a burglary on Feb. 26, law enforcement connected the same stolen vehicle with five burglaries in the early morning hours of March 1, according to court records…
