At the Great Plains SPCA in Merriam, Kansas, a friendly German shepherd mix named Jade is in search of a home; this time however a home where she can feel safe and not be abandoned just a few days later for reasons unknown to either her rescuers or to Jade.
In December 2024, Jade had been adopted from a shelter in Olathe, but just three days later animal control officers found her wandering the streets with a note attached to her collar.
