LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCTV) – Investigators are seeking a driver who may have had to swerve off the road to avoid a dangerous high-speed chase around Lawrence.
The Douglas County, Kansas, Sheriff’s Office says that around 12:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, law enforcement officials in the area of Highway 59 and K-10 noticed a gray Nissan Altima speeding north along Highway 59.
When first responders attempted to stop the driver, they said she failed to pull over and started a chase. During the chase, officers with the Lawrence Police Department were able to successfully deploy stop sticks.
