KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – In late January, a statue disappeared from the Francois Chouteau and Native American Heritage Monument.
Pictures provided by the Kansas City Parks and Recreation Department show that someone cut the statue at the ankles and removed it from its base between the evening hours of Jan. 21 and noon on Jan. 22.
More than two months later, there may be a development in the investigation.
The Kansas City Parks and Recreation Department released video of the suspect vehicle from that night.
