KC man shot victim, went through his pockets, stole his truck

KANSAS CITY — A jury on Friday convicted a Kansas City man for a fatal shooting that took place last year in the North Town Fork Creek neighborhood, according to Jackson County Prosecutor Melesa Johnson.

D’Aires Gadson, 29, was found guilty of 2nd Degree Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. His sentencing is scheduled for June 5.

According to court records, Kansas City police were dispatched to East 55th Street and College Avenue on Oct. 3, 2024, on reports of a shooting. They located the victim lying in the street suffering from gunshot trauma and was pronounced deceased at the scene…
