Charges filed after bullying leads to stabbing in Independence group home

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) – Charges have been filed against a 31-year-old man who allegedly stabbed a resident of an Independence group home he believed to be a bully.

Jackson County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Monday, March 24, indicate that Aaron J. Olmeda, 31, of Independence, has been charged in connection to a stabbing at a group home.

A probable cause filed by the Independence Police Department revealed that around 3:40 p.m. on Sunday, law enforcement officials were called to a home near E. 46th Ct. and Mill St. with reports of a stabbing.
