Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services Announces Award of Aging & Disability Resource Center Contract to Liberty Healthcare Corporation

TOPEKA – The Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) today announced the award of a contract to Liberty Healthcare Corporation (Liberty) for the provision of a comprehensive Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) system. The ADRC has been a longstanding resource supporting older adults and individuals with disabilities across Kansas, and this transition ensures continued access to vital information, referrals, and assistance for long-term services and supports (LTSS).

This contract award marks a shift in vendor management of ADRC operations, but the program itself remains fully operational. The ADRC will continue to support KDADS’ mission to foster an environment that promotes security, dignity, and independence for all Kansans. Liberty will work to enhance the delivery of information and support, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their LTSS options. People of all ages, incomes, and disabilities can connect with the ADRC for comprehensive information and individualized counseling on the full range of available LTSS.

“We are pleased to partner with Liberty Healthcare Corporation to strengthen and enhance the Aging and Disability Resource Center system in Kansas,” KDADS LTSS Commissioner Michele Heydon said. “This collaboration will provide a more accessible and user-friendly approach for individuals and their families to navigate the complexities of long-term services and supports, ultimately improving their quality of life.”…
