Court docs: Kansas City shooting took less than a minute, suspect fired repeatedly

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City man is charged with second-degree murder in a crime that took less than a minute to commit, according to prosecutors.

Prosecutors charged Damien Carter with the following crimes:

  • Second-degree murder
  • 2 counts of armed criminal action
  • Unlawful use of a weapon

According to court records, police responded to a shooting on E. 29th Street and Oakley Avenue on March 29.
