Westport Coffeehouse, a midtown mainstay since 1996, has served its final cup of coffee.
Its last day in business was March 28, said Pam Ptacek, who owns both the business and the building at 4010 Pennsylvania Ave. with her husband, Tom.
“We’ve been trying to retire and sell our property for a few years now,” Ptacek said. “And recently we had somebody approach us with the idea to do another coffee house in the space. We thought, ‘You open yours, we’ll close ours — the neighborhood won’t miss a thing.’”…
