An unknown company promises big returns as it looks at new headquarters in Overland Park

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Fortune 500 company is looking to open a headquarters and Midwest regional operating hub, but the company behind the potential move remains a secret.

It’s being called Project Turtle, and the company in question has to do with financial technologies. A financial meeting with Overland Park leaders Wednesday night showed sweeping approval for the company to get a 10-year tax rebate for taxes paid on a property they would hopefully call home. This would be 42,000 sq ft at the former Spring building, now Asperia.

The company has not chosen its future location yet, but a representative for the company showed excitement over the potential to call Overland Park their new spot. If it moves forward, the company would bring 2,000 jobs to the area, averaging about $125,000 in yearly compensation. That would total $2.5 billion in payroll…
