KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Grandview woman has been sentenced to more than 2 years in prison after falsified tax documents cost the IRS more than $1.1 million.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri says that on Wednesday, May 7, Sandra Mondaine, 64, of Grandview, was sentenced for filing false tax returns for others.
Court documents indicated that Mondaine was sentenced to 33 months – 2 years and 9 months – in federal prison without the chance of parole. She was also ordered to pay $1.1 million in restitution to the Internal Revenue Service. She pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting the preparation and filing of false tax returns…
