The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop A responded to a pair of crashes involving motorcycles Saturday, May 10.
First, a two-vehicle collision outside Lone Jack injured a motorcycle driver from Holden. The Patrol says the crash occurred around 12:25 p.m. on Route F at Faulkenberry Road, just inside Jackson County. According to the patrol, a 71-year-old man on a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling south when a pickup driven by a 40-year-old man from Kansas City drove in front of the motorcycle, resulting in the collision. The Holden man suffered moderate injury and was taken to a Kansas City area hospital. Troopers say he was not wearing the proper safety gear at the time of the crash.
