KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A black bear was seen wandering around Grandview’s city limits on Tuesday morning, prompting the attention of the Missouri Department of Conservation and Grandview Animal Control.
The first reports came in Tuesday morning. According to the city, a police officer spotted a black bear on his way to work, near the Taco Bell at the West Outer Road and Main Street.
The bear was then spotted near 13th and Skyline. According to the city, Animal Control officers immediately reached out to the Department of Conservation and confirmed the bear sighting.
“The bear is not believed to be a danger to the public unless provoked,” said NeighborhoodServices Supervisor Amy Nash, “So, if you see the bear, immediately call 911 so we can contactconservation agents.”…
