KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – As the country comes together to support Texas’s ongoing disaster relief efforts, the Kansas City Fire Department has two of its own getting directly involved.
On Tuesday, KCFD announced that two firefighters left for Kerr County, Texas, on July 7 as a part of Missouri Task Force 1 (MO-TF1).
MO-TF1 is a 50-person crew based out of the Boone County Fire Protection District. It specializes in search and rescue operations and is activated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
