Host of hunting show gets lifetime hunting ban in Kansas

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) – The host of a streaming hunting show has been banned from hunting and fishing in Kansas for the rest of his life.

A federal judge handed down the sentence after Matt Jennings, the host of the hunting series “The Game,” pleaded guilty to charges in connection to the illegal killing of two antlered whitetail deer in the state, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Kansas announced.

The DA’s office, in a news release, said Jennings killed one of the deer in November 2022 in Florence, Kansas, where he did not have a valid deer tag. He then drove to south Oklahoma and “fraudulently registered the kill in Oklahoma,” according to the DA’s office…
