Heat advisory in effect before flash floods, storms threaten Kansas City

Flash flooding is once again a concern for Kansas City as the threat of heavy rain and storms mix with hot temperatures this weekend.

Multiple rounds of slow-moving storms Saturday night through Sunday night could produce around 3 or more inches of rain in some areas, according to the National Weather Service. Rainfall totals are expected to vary across the region, though.
