Shawnee Police K-9 Unit visits injured dog, thanks vets for care after stabbing

MISSION, Kan. (KCTV) – Members of the Shawnee Police Department’s K-9 Unit made a visit to the veterinarians and staff who cared for one of their own on Tuesday.

A visit to the Mission Veterinary Emergency & Specialty on Tuesday allowed members of the unit an opportunity to thank staff who cared for K-9 Dagger after a stabbing incident on Aug. 5.

“Thanks to the team’s expertise and dedication, K-9 Dagger is healing and on track to return to full duty,” the Shawnee Police Department said. “We appreciate all that (they) do!”…
