Third suspect in marina thefts surrenders

The third suspect in a series of July break-ins and thefts from Lake Norfork marinas has surrendered to the Baxter County Sheriff.Nineteen-year-old Macgyver Michael Sabin of Gardner, Kansas, turned himself in after a bench warrant was issued and has been released on bond. Sabin is charged in connection with thefts from boats at Cranfield, Lake Norfork and Panther Bay marinas, in which thousands of dollars’ worth of fishing and boating equipment were stolen.

Two other suspects, Lukas Trey Helm of Olathe, Kansas, and Dane Phillip Christensen of Lenexa, Kansas, were previously arrested and released on bond. All three are scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court on August 25…
