Contract will keep KCATA buses moving, but riding no longer free for everyone

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority gives its approval for a deal that will keep the city’s buses moving, but it will come with a big change.

Members of the KCATA board approved a contract to fund the public bus system through April 2026. The Kansas City Council approved the contract during a meeting Thursday.
