SARCOXIE, Mo. (KOAM) – Early Tuesday morning a Sarcoxie officer on patrol noticied a suspicious vehicle in their town, ran the plates and it came back stolen from the Kansas City area.
MSGT B. Corum initiated a traffic stop but the vehicle fled east on I-44 all the way into Springfield, Mo. It was eventually spiked by Springfield Police and Greene County Deputies were able to block the car in and arrest the driver.

The pursuit lasted more than 50 miles. Along the way the driver was throwing things out the windows of the vehicle.
After arrest Jayson Maloney, of Kansas City, Mo. told MSGT Corum that he was throwing things out to get her attention. “The car wouldn’t stop due to the brakes not working.” However she reminded him that he brake-checked her countless times during the pursuit.
Greene County Sheriff’s Deputies released Maloney into Sarcoxie Police custody. She transferred him to the Jasper County Jail at Carthage, Mo…
