A man died after he was found wounded in a grassy area near an intersection on Kansas City’s East Side early Monday, a police spokeswoman said.
At about 1:45 a.m., dispatchers sent officers to to investigated a reported shooting in the 1600 block of Drury Avenue in the city’s West Blue Valley neighborhood, said Alayna Gonzalez with the Kansas City Police Department.
People in the area flagged down officers, saying someone had been shot. Officers found the victim, who was unresponsive and suffering from some type of trauma, Gonzalez said. They began rending medical aid, but emergency medical crews who arrived pronounced the man dead at the scene…
