Gourmet deli opens in Johnson County: ‘Best sandwich they’ve ever had’

Opening a deli hasn’t always been on Adam and Kelly Bracco’s bucket list.

The idea only came to the husband and wife about two years ago, when the Braccos took a family vacation to Montana and stopped at a local deli called Tagliare. One bite into the Sublime (prosciutto, hot soppressata, burrata, fresh walnut pesto, spicy garlic aioli, sun-dried tomatoes and arugula), and Adam realized it was the best sandwich he’d ever had.

He decided to reach out to Matt Benzel, the owner of the deli, and hound him about a partnership to open a spot closer to home…
