In a southern Overland Park shopping center, the owners of a well known local eatery are gearing up for something new.
Two of the owners of Lenexa-based Tanner’s plan to unveil their new concept, Sammie’s Kitchen & Bar, at the Stanley Station shopping center.
If all goes according to plan, co-owners Jim Fager and Matt Brentano said, then the restaurant will likely open its doors by the end of the month.
Sammie’s is coming to 7721 W. 151st St.
- The restaurant is taking over a space at the Stanley Station shopping center, just off 151st Street and U.S. Highway 69 in Overland Park.
- The Yeti Pub & Kaffeehaus previously occupied that space.
- Once it opens, the regular hours at Sammie’s will likely be 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
Sammie’s will serve sandwiches and other “made-from-scratch” dishes
The menu at Sammie’s will steer away from the burgers and fries (and other popular bar food items) that have been central to the Tanner’s menu…
