18 animals rescued from fire at Belton boarding facility

BELTON, Mo. (KCTV) – The owners of a pet boarding facility in Belton aren’t sure when they will be able to reopen after a fire at the business Sunday night.

The Belton Fire Department rushed to rescue more than a dozen animals at Lily’s Play-N-Stay in the evening hours of Dec. 7. Police and firefighters initially responded to a smoke alarm call, but when they arrived, they discovered a fire inside the building.
