The Missouri Department of Transportation has closed the northbound lanes of U.S. 169 Highway near the Kansas City Downtown Airport — Wheeler Field after discovering structural concerns with a bridge.
MoDOT officials have called a 2 p.m. news conference to discuss the impacts of the U.S. 169 closure and a second issue that’s reduced traffic to one lane on northbound Missouri Route 291 bridge over the Missouri River.
