LEAWOOD, Kan. — As conversations continue about the Kansas City Royals potentially relocating to Kansas, some business owners in Leawood say uncertainty surrounding the project is raising concerns, particularly when it comes to safety, parking, and communication.
At Town Center Plaza near 119th Street and Nall Avenue, business owners say shifting plans and limited details have made it difficult to know what to expect.

“We’ve heard so much. It’s going there. It’s not going there. This happened and that happened,” said Jennifer Balsbaugh, owner of Blue Chip Cookies. “We’re just like we’ll wait to see what happens.”
