Overland Park narrowly approves $345K e-bike program despite past failures

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (KCTV) – Overland Park is set to move forward with a third e-bike pilot program, just in time for the World Cup.

The Overland Park City Council voted 6-5 Monday night, Dec. 15, to approve a $345,000 partnership wit RideKC’s bike share program.

The move is expected to bring 60 e-bikes to the city ahead of the 2026 World Cup. This will be the city’s third attempt at bike-sharing in 3 years – after 2 previous program failures…
