KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – After a string of towing complaints to the city, starting Jan. 1, 2026, Kansas City’s new towing rules go into effect.
The owner of a KC towing company sued the city over its new towing rules designed to crack down on predatory towing, but a Jackson County judge ruled on December 23 that the city’s towing rules stand.
