I have always been a fan of the underdog, the overlooked off-the-beaten path places that never seem to get the recognition they deserve. That’s why I’m ecstatic to see a new list of the best cheap steakhouses mention an eatery in Missouri that isn’t anywhere close to St. Louis or Kansas City.
To be clear, this isn’t my list. I’ve never met a steak or steakhouse that I didn’t love. This is a brand new list from Cheapism that looks for the best steak places that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Their choice for Missouri is one of the most unassuming restaurants you can imagine.
They chose The Steak Inn located at 22290 Waters Edge Drive in South Shell Knob, Missouri which is near one of the many inlets of Table Rock Lake.
One thing that I noticed on the Yelp reviews is a claim that the prices for the steaks are no longer printed on the menu and some reviewers not pleased about that when it came time to pay.
