KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The owners of BLVD Tavern in Kansas City’s Crossroads district say they have received threatening phone calls and negative online reviews after being confused with a business of the same name in Minnesota.
Derich and Grace Carlson, who have owned the Kansas City tavern for about three years, said the harassment began this week when people started mistaking their business for one in Minnesota’s Twin Cities, more than 400 miles away.
“When bad news or false news circulates, you know us being the one being the fake news there, it’s just really damaging,” Grace Carlson said.
