KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – Residents at the Town House apartment building in downtown KCK have been unable to use elevators for nearly a week. The situation forced some disabled tenants to rely on firefighters for assistance getting in and out of their homes.
The 14-story apartment complex on Seventh Street houses several senior citizens with limited physical abilities. KCK Fire Department officials said they have responded to more than a dozen calls to the building since Saturday to help residents navigate the stairs.
