A 53-year-old man from Albert Lea died Thursday afternoon after his motorcycle veered off Interstate 35 and struck a guardrail in Kansas City’s Northland area. Authorities say the crash occurred on southbound I-35 near Pleasant Valley Road and led to temporary traffic disruptions while investigators worked at the scene.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 12. Troopers reported that the rider was traveling southbound on a 2015 motorcycle manufactured by Harley-Davidson when the vehicle veered off the left side of the roadway for reasons that remain under investigation.
Officials said the motorcycle struck a guardrail, and the force of the collision ejected the rider into the left lane of traffic. Emergency responders arrived quickly and provided medical assistance at the scene before transporting the man to North Kansas City Hospital…
