BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. (KCTV) – A pit bull mix puppy was found abandoned inside a sealed plastic storage tote on Friday morning in Bonner Springs, according to the Bonner Springs Police Department.
Officers and Animal Control were notified about 6:30 a.m. of the abandoned dog outside the Bonner Springs Animal Care Center. The puppy was found with a homemade cone around his neck and appeared to be suffering from a possible rectal prolapse.
Writing on the outside of the tote indicated the dog’s name may be “Kenji,” with a listed birth date of Nov. 13, 2025. A note on the tote also stated the dog has a “big appetite when he feels better.”
