In Bonner Springs, Kansas, authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying the owner of a young dog abandoned outside of the Bonner Springs Animal Care Center veterinarian clinic.
According to the Bonner Springs Police Department, authorities arrived at the animal care center early in the morning to find an abandoned puppy that had been inside of a sealed plastic storage container.
The dog had been wearing a homemade cone around his neck and appeared to be suffering from a possible rectal prolapse. In addition, someone had written the dog’s name as Kenji on the outside of the tote; also stating Kenji has a “big appetite when he feels better.”
As much as one might sympathize with an owner not able to afford providing their dog with needed medical care, that is still NO reason to abandon any pet. According to the Bonner Springs Animal Control, abandonment is never an acceptable solution, and it is also illegal under a city ordinance…
