KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City’s public safety task force issued at least 30 citations and shut down six businesses for illegal gambling machines in the last month.
A new city ordinance makes the gambling machines illegal, and the public safety task force is now enforcing it.
“We know that these machines have been an ongoing issue for several years. They’ve been gaining traction in our communities,” said Joe Williamson, director of Kansas City’s multidisciplinary task force.
