Dillons Grocery one step closer to reopening since closing its last metro store in 2008

OLATHE, Kan. (KCTV) – The Olathe City Council is set to consider a rezoning and preliminary development plan that would clear the way for a new Dillons grocery store and gas station at a long-undeveloped Sunnybrook site.

The proposal seeks approval to rezone about 14+ acres from the Business Park District to the Community Center District. The site is off Highway 7 southwest of College Boulevard and South Lone Elm Road, caddy corner from Olathe Northwest High School.

Plans call for a nearly 100,000 square-foot full-service Dillons Marketplace with a drive-thru pharmacy and 14-pump gas station, according to city documents…
